This has the 103 c.i. engine with 9.6:1 compression, ABS brakes, and an oil cooler, and cruise control.

I had Vance and Hines power duals and Monster Round mufflers put on, and HD 255 cams installed. I also
had a removable backrest installed, if I want a luggage rack on it that will go on quickly too.

The ride is very good, and the bikes moves along very well with lots of power on tap. The exhaust rumbles and sounds great.

New HD for me

I am a kid waiting for Christmas. I traded my '07 Fat Boy in for this new Road King Classic.
Notice the keys on the seat- Those are my keys for this new ride!

In a nut shell:
I have always liked the look of the RK, and this 2011 has the goods. This 2011 has the "Power Pack" feature, which is a 103 C.I. engine, automatic compression releases, oil cooler, ABS Brembo brakes.
It also has cruise control which I will really enjoy on those long rides- saves the arm. It also has the new frame which was was introduced in '09 and '08 on the CVO bikes. And another plus is the 6 gallon fuel tank.

Is it going to stay stock? Why would I leave this beauty stock....? (grin) Absolutely - No way.

Exhaust: I like dual exhausts and how they sound, and this bike will get some great Vance and Hines Power Duals, with Monster Rounds for the exhaust.
Air Cleaner: I really like the ventilator air cleaner- so I got that and a 4 point docking system and rear passenger backrest.
Wheels: I like the looks of the spoke wheels, but decided the RK standard wheels looked good and they are
less work to keep clean, and no tubed tires, makes it easy to fix on the road if you get a puncture. I my decide in the future to go with custom wheels, but for right now....I just want to ride the bike.

Engine: I had a 103 build on my Fat Boy, and it scooted right along. So, I decided to get some cams installed for this 103 factory engine to wake it up a bit and make the cruise ability even more pleasurable. I got HD 255 cams going in this to add some low and mid rpm punch. I know that there are better cam choices such as the tw 555 or others, but i want to keep the 2 yr warranty intact using MoCo parts. After 2 years rolls by, then maybe a new cam and lifters, and fueling oil pump.

I think for now though, that this bike will be...... an awesome ride!

Finished pictures of the bike home from dealer to be posted!

update

Recently updated 2-2011

THE GREYHOUND HOUSE

This is the Greyhound Villa that I built for our 2 greyhounds. In this picture, we have Shadow our male, and Annie our ( late ) female with the red band collar . Annie was 13.5 yrs of age when she passed away Sept of 2010. She was a dear girl, and we miss her presence. Annie was adopted by us when she was 5 yrs old. She had a four year racing career in Oregon, but she was injured and thus her race days were over.
Annie, was a wonderful pup, and we enjoyed her and spoiled her soooo much. ( miss you Ann )

Sadly, these guys do not live forever, and Shadow, died on my 51st birthday, August 4th. He was a gentle guy, and he is missed, he was always very mellow.

However, we do have a very rambunctious female by the name of Saucy. She will be 3 soon, and she is very energetic.

                                                                     This is Saucy

The Harley

This was my first Harley, my mid-life crisis machine, a fatboy. Hope to post some video on youtube of the exhaust sound with the Vance and Hines pipes, should sound great.

If I were a carpenter....

I am not a carpenter- However, I got a bug in my head to build a containment facility for a couple of spoiled greyhounds...

About the shirt...
